Yes that’s right. I’ve moved servers. Please come to my new blog at http://www.jackiehollowayphotography.com/blog It’s still in the modeling phases, but it is where I will update and add new posts. Hope to see you there!!! Make sure to bookmark the new page.
Luke had piano practice yesterday and after picking him up, we decided to have an impromptu 10 minute photo shoot. (SEE! It pays to have your camera handy at ALL times). I’ve never shot at this particular spot before, so it was fun trying to see how it all works. Luke is extremely timid in front of the camera. He’s always worried about exactly how to stand, hates to smile, etc. But it was fun, and we got some good bonding time in. I’m hoping to take him out this weekend for a longer session (one I can get him to relax more in).
Everyone in the house is wishing you the happiest of Mother’s Days. My went well. Each of my children wrote me a little card, and one of my sons even made me lunch. He cooked me some chicken patties (at 8am) for lunch. SOOO thoughtful. I made my mother and MIL both a photo tile, which I think turned out really well. They both seemed to love them. Around noon, my daughter and I went out to take some pictures. I got several I liked ok, the sun had us squinting a lot, but this one I thought was soo cool. Perfect for mothers day. So we’re blowing our love to you today.
Bad me!! Sorry about that. I thought I’d post a few things I’ve been playing with. None involve people for a change. LOL I’ve recently learned to do sunburst shots thanks to a great bunch of people who share this love of photography like I do!
That same group of people is currently running a photography challenge. Shadows. That was it. Just shadows. So I got to thinkin’ about what I’d like to do with shadows. I decided I would like to take a picture of 3 crosses and their shadows, but complained to my dh that I had no clue how I would manage to set that up. I looked up about 11:30 yesterday to see this on my entertainment system. I didn’t move anything, touch anything, etc. Just grabbed my camera. My ceiling light was on, but the main light on the clock with the vibrant shadow was coming through a sliver of window the curtain wasn’t covering. The shadow was gone less than 30 minutes later. LOL
A friend asked if I thought maybe God was telling us we were running out of TIME to tell people about the power of the cross. Hmmm I think it’s very possible!
First I want to apologize to Trish. I know I told you I would have your sneak peek up by now. I promise it was my intention to have them up. Unfortunately, I had not one.. but TWO kids fall out of a tree today (at different times). The first was my daughter, who suffered only scratches on her leg. The second however, was Justus, who ended up with 3 stitches.
So, I didn’t get as much up for your sneak peek, but I’m well on my way to getting them edited. I have to say it was a pleasure photographing Dusty. She was SOOO easy to work with, and a natural in front of the camera.
Hmmm… it’s not letting me add the 3rd one, so I’ll edit and try to get some more up tonight.
You guys need to check out my kids blogs!

Thanks soo much to Michelle for pushing me to customize this blog the way I want it. I have a long way to go, getting the little details worked out. But stick with me, y’all… I’ll get it. Then we can get rollin’ with the photography stuff.
While I try and get this blog set up. It may take a while, because I haven’t a CLUE as to what I’m doing. But it will be for all intents and purposes a place to showcase my photography. If you desire to make an appointment with me, please contact me, and we’ll set up arrangements. While I’m getting things on here the way I like them, here’s a couple photos of my kiddos to see…
